E L W I announces the Borrower’s Guide to the standard form of a syndicated loan agreementunder Russian law published by the Association of Banks of Russia in 2023.

Produced in collaboration with the Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Corpfintech Association, the Guide systematizes the syndicated lending market practice, highlights the key areas for negotiation from the borrower’s perspective and explains the main template provisions of the standard form. The Guide is aimed to assist the borrowers and other market participants in negotiating the terms of current and forthcoming syndicated lending transactions under Russian law. The e-version of the Guide is available for download via the link.

In June 2023 a Pro Bono practice was launched by our law firm. Since then, within the framework of the Pro Bono practice we have been providing free legal advice to companies and individuals implementing social and charitable projects.

We strongly believe that it is important to take a systematic approach to providing charitable aid, therefore in July 2024 we signed a memorandum with A1 Attorneys at law on collaboration and joint development of the Legal Charity online platform – Russia’s first pro bono legal aid platform, which aims to ensure collaboration between law firms and charitable foundations to provide legal aid based on pro bono principles and develop the culture of social advocacy. Nowadays the platform unites more than 80 legal partners.

We believe that Legal Charity project will ensure effective provision of legal services within the framework of the projects aimed at achieving socially useful goals.
